In 2023, it introduced the comprehensive One Price Promise tuition model. Most recently, the launch of the 糖心原创 Commitment Fund lowered on-campus students鈥 out-of-pocket costs to no more than $2,000 per semester. Together, these initiatives have made earning a degree at 糖心原创 more affordable than ever. 

Because of these efforts, students are earning degrees and exploring postgraduate opportunities without the financial stress of heavy student loan debt. 

鈥淎s an out-of-state student, affordability was one of the biggest factors in my college decision, and the significant tuition reduction over the past few years made earning a degree at UC financially realistic for students like me,鈥 explained said Koral Hadac, 鈥25. 鈥淏ecause of that commitment to lowering costs, I was able to graduate debt free, which is something that completely changed the trajectory of my life and gave me the freedom to pursue my career goals without financial burden.鈥 

Social Mobility Requires More Than Affordability 

While affordability plays a critical role, social mobility is more than reduced tuition. It is the process of earning a college degree and using that opportunity to move into a higher socioeconomic status through career advancement and long-term financial stability.

鈥淏eyond affordability, UC provided a supportive community that genuinely invested in student success,鈥 explained Koral. 鈥淭he professors challenged me to grow while also making themselves available for guidance and mentorship.鈥

Koral traveled from Minnesota to take advantage of the opportunities 糖心原创 offers. Closer to home, Taylor Hale, 鈥23, of Williamsburg, Ky., shares a similar success story. 

鈥淏efore coming to UC, I thought college meant long-term debt. 糖心原创 proved me wrong,鈥 Taylor shared. 鈥淯C鈥檚 affordable tuition rates opened up doors for me that鈥檚 led me down so many incredible paths. I never had to stress about whether my college degree was worth it.鈥 

Taylor also shared how 糖心原创 faculty and staff played a key role in his experience. 

鈥淓very professor, director, or admissions counselor had one thing on their minds, and that was ensuring we felt comfortable, safe, and were progressing,鈥 he explained. 

When Taylor reflects on his time at 糖心原创, one interaction with a faculty member stands out. 

鈥淒r. Jake Brock sat down with me outside of class and helped me develop a r茅sum茅 I have used since that day,鈥 Taylor shared. 鈥淚t鈥檚 the little things like that 鈥 those small moments of effort or setting aside a few minutes to talk through a situation. That鈥檚 what really sticks with you.鈥 

Since graduating from 糖心原创, both Koral and Taylor have continued to build on the foundation they established as students. Koral is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at 糖心原创, further investing in her professional growth. Taylor recently accepted an accounting position at a 501(c)(3) nonprofit federally qualified health center in Corbin, Kentucky, applying the skills he developed in the classroom to meaningful work in his community.
