General Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence

The Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence prepares students to design, develop, and deploy intelligent systems that solve real-world challenges across business, healthcare, cybersecurity, finance, education, and emerging technology industries. The curriculum combines foundational AI concepts with hands-on experience in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), generative AI, cybersecurity, cloud-based AI deployment, and data-driven decision-making. Students learn how to build, evaluate, and implement AI solutions while exploring the ethical, legal, and societal implications of artificial intelligence. Through project-based learning, programming, real-world datasets, and a culminating capstone experience, students develop the technical, analytical, and critical-thinking skills needed for careers in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and advanced technology fields.

What You'll Learn

Students in the Artificial Intelligence program develop knowledge and skills in:

  • Artificial intelligence fundamentals and emerging AI technologies
  • Machine learning and predictive modeling
  • Deep learning and neural networks
  • Natural language processing (NLP) and generative AI
  • Prompt engineering and large language models (LLMs)
  • Python programming for artificial intelligence applications
  • Data analysis, data preparation, and model evaluation
  • AI deployment in web and cloud environments
  • Cybersecurity for AI systems and data protection
  • AI ethics, governance, and responsible AI practices
  • Critical thinking and AI-assisted decision-making
  • Media literacy and evaluation of AI-generated content
  • AI system design, implementation, and optimization
  • Problem-solving using artificial intelligence tools and frameworks
  • Collaborative development of AI-driven solutions

Graduates learn how to build and deploy AI applications, evaluate machine learning models, work with real-world datasets, and apply artificial intelligence technologies responsibly across a variety of industries. They gain experience with the technical, ethical, and strategic considerations involved in developing intelligent systems that are scalable, secure, and impactful.

Course Requirements

Your AI journey doesn鈥檛 have to stop at the bachelor鈥檚 level. This program is designed to establish a guided pathway to the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI) and to doctoral-level study in AI at 糖心原创.

As a BSAI student, you will:

  • Build the mathematical and programming foundations expected for graduate work
  • Gain experience with machine learning, neural networks, and NLP that prepares you for advanced coursework
  • Develop research, communication, and project skills that support success in master鈥檚 and doctoral programs

If you鈥檙e already thinking about earning your MSAI, this bachelor鈥檚 program is an intentional first step.

At 糖心原创, faculty members bring real-world experience to the classroom. Even in an online learning environment, you can make connections with these professors and they are very willing to help you.
